Details
The 12001655 is a genuine OEM temperature sensor (also known as a thermistor) designed for ranges and ovens across the Whirlpool family of brands. This "short" style sensor, approximately 3 inches in length, sends electrical resistance signals to the control board to maintain precise cooking temperatures. If the sensor fails, the oven may display error codes (such as F3 or F4), fail to reach the set temperature, or overheat dangerously. Over time, internal wire fatigue or exposure to self-cleaning cycles can cause the sensor to drift out of calibration, leading to unevenly baked goods or long preheating times.
