The W11159068 is a genuine OEM transmission assembly (also called a gearcase) designed for heavy-duty and commercial Whirlpool-manufactured top-load washing machines. As the mechanical heart of the washer, this unit converts the motor's rotation into the oscillating stroke of the agitator during the wash cycle and the high-velocity centrifugal force during the spin cycle. Over time, the internal gears can strip or the internal oil seals can fail, leading to significant mechanical issues.
