The WH10X40097 is a genuine OEM white lid frame and clear glass assembly designed for top-load washing machines. This complete assembly provides a secure barrier to prevent water from splashing out during intense wash cycles while allowing clear visibility into the tub. A critical structural function of this lid is to correctly align with and engage the lid lock strike mechanism. If the plastic framing near the hinges cracks, fractures, or warps, the lid will fail to sit level, preventing the machine from locking and starting a cycle.
