Details
The WG1202XH is a heavy-duty, continuous-feed garbage disposal powered by a high-torque 1/2 HP induction motor spinning at 1,725 RPM. Designed for hardwired under-sink kitchen installation, it features dual stainless steel swivel impellers resting over a galvanized steel grinding wheel and shredder ring layout. This combination efficiently breaks down food waste like vegetable scraps, fruit rinds, and small bones into fine cuttings without needing to pause cycles. Over years of heavy use, structural fatigue can occur. Internal seals can fail from chemical corrosion or abrasive friction, allowing water to slowly seep into the lower electrical motor housing. This can short out the field windings or lock the rotor bearings. Common symptoms of a failing disposal include water actively dripping out of the bottom metal shell, a humming or buzzing noise accompanied by an immediate thermal overload trip, jammed or unresponsive internal impellers, or a completely dead system that refuses to activate when power is supplied.

Includes one genuine OEM 1/2 HP continuous-feed food waste disposer housing, a stainless steel sink flange with a matching 1-piece plastic stopper, a sink mounting ring gasket, a discharge elbow pipe layout with hardware, and an integrated manual reset overload button protector. Note: A 120V electrical power cord is not included and must be salvaged from the old unit or purchased separately if hardwired tracking is not used. Plumbers putty, a screwdriver, and channel locks are needed for installation.
