Part W11819720 Dishwasher Detergent and Rinse Aid Dispenser Assembly
Purpose
Holds and automatically releases dishwashing detergent and liquid rinse aid during specialized wash cycles.
Details
The dishwasher detergent and rinse aid dispenser assembly mounts flush into the inner door liner of the appliance. It features two dedicated chambers: a spring-loaded main wash detergent cup with a latching lid, and a sealed rinse aid reservoir equipped with an adjustable viewing sight glass. Controlled directly by the main electronic timer or control board, an internal wax motor or electrical solenoid triggers the latch mechanism at precise intervals during the cleaning profile, popping the door open to dump detergent into the tub and metering out a precise volume of rinse aid during the final thermal rinse. Over time, chemical detergent etching, high-temperature cycles, or internal spring fatigue can cause the delicate latching clips or plastic hinges to warp or snap. Common symptoms of a failing dispenser assembly include a detergent door that refuses to click shut, a lid that stays closed through the entire cycle leaving unwashed soap behind, white film spots on glassware due to a faulty rinse aid seal, or water leaking from around the outer door frame gasket perimeter.
Included Items
Includes one genuine OEM dual-chamber dispenser assembly with a pre-installed rubber perimeter sealing gasket. To install, the inner door panel must be unthreaded from the outer shell using Torx and small hex/nut drivers.
