The dispenser drip tray, also referred to as an evaporator tray or water tray, sits at the bottom of the external door dispenser cutout. It is designed to capture accidental overfills, run-off droplets, and melting ice frost fragments before they spill down the exterior face of your refrigerator door or pool on your floor. If this tray becomes cracked, heavily stained, warped, or missing entirely, excess moisture will freely leak down the appliance housing, which can create slips, water stains, or floor damage over time.
